We offer a range of catering packages and can provide bespoke catering to suit individual needs and tastes on request. With a fully stocked cocktail bar, TV, DJ decks and sound system, The Copper Room is a discreet, stylish home from home in which to meet, host, entertain, relax and/or party.
Capacity: The room holds up to 50 people comfortably. However, depending on the nature of your event and whether you are eating we recommend a smaller number may be a more suitable maximum.
Bar: The bar is fully stocked including two draught beers, Staropramen and Becks Vier. We are licensed until midnight - last orders will be called at 11:45pm.
Please note: The bar is cash only. The event organiser can run a tab but other guests should come prepared to pay as they go.
Catering: We offer a Canapé and Bowl Food menu available for any function for a minimum of 20 people or more. Bespoke menus can also be arranged. Detailed menus are listed below.
All our food is home made in our kitchen, fresh from daily deliveries.
Music: The room has its own set of decks. Use of these is subject to payment of an additional £200 deposit which will be paid on the night and refunded following inspection of the system. Alternatively you can supply your own CDs or iPod to be played through the speakers in the room. (Any costs associated with any damage to the music equipment caused during the event will be charged to the event organiser.)
Media: The TV in the room can be used during any private party. There is also digital input for a laptop, and a DVD player.
Deposit: Whilst we do not charge for hire of the copper room, we do require a deposit of £100 to secure your booking, payable by cash. The deposit will be returned after the event, once the room has been checked. (Damage of any kind sustained to fixtures, fitting or the room itself will be charged to the event organiser.)
Decoration: Any decoration must be free standing and removable. Pins or adhesives of any kind are not permitted.
Please Note: If we get another enquiry for the date you have chosen we will contact you and give you 24 hours to confirm your booking and secure it with a deposit. If you don't we will give that date to the other enquiry.
The Copper Room is so called as a continuation of The Lead Station and was born out of the combination of three ideas. Firstly that copper, like lead, is a metal; secondly, that the building itself was originally the Chorlton Police Station (police > coppers > copper); finally and most pertinently, from the colours and materials used in the room.
The main photograph hanging in the room is by Melissa Moore from a series titled ‘Know the Edge'. The entirety of the series was purchased by the gallery exhibiting Melissa's work in Milan during her first exhibition there. Ours is one of five from the edition, and one of ten in the series.
